Solid Waste Management

TESECO plays a pivotal role in supporting and developing the integrated solid waste management system across Egypt, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development, as part of the national plan to enhance public sanitation services and strengthen environmental infrastructure efficiency. In this context, the office has participated in multiple projects across various governorates, the latest of which is the construction of three secure sanitary landfills in New Valley Governorate (El Kharga, El Dakhla, and Farafra), with a total cost of EGP 96 million.

Safe Disposal of Solid Waste

Establish sanitary landfills that fully comply with environmental standards.

Reduction of Open Waste Burning

Mitigate environmental and health hazards caused by uncontrolled waste burning.

Closure of Informal Dumpsites

Improve air quality and enhance the overall environment in targeted areas.

Improved Collection & Transportation Systems

Provide supporting infrastructure such as weighbridges, transfer stations, and internal access roads.

Environmental Sustainability Measures

Implement leachate treatment systems, liner applications for collection ponds, and proper drainage networks.

Safe & Integrated Work Environment

Ensure secure and comprehensive working conditions for sanitation and waste management personnel.


🏆 Project Impact

The project was executed to the highest technical standards under the supervision of relevant authorities and in full coordination with the Solid Waste Management Executive Unit at the Ministry of Local Development and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
