Integrated Strategy for Storm-water Management

In response to climate change and the increasing intensity of storm events, TESECO joined a coalition of governmental, academic, and engineering entities to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for stormwater management in Alexandria. This plan aims to enhance network efficiency and reduce the risks of water accumulation through innovative and sustainable solutions. TESECO also supervised the execution of the project.

🎯 Strategy Objectives

• Partial Separation of Stormwater and Sanitary Networks:

To relieve pressure on the system, especially in high-density urban areas.

• Utilization of Surface Runoff:

To discharge water directly into the sea or nearby lifting stations.

• Water Reuse:

By redirecting it to the Mahmoudiyah Canal and the lake behind the airport for use in New Delta development projects

• Network Efficiency Improvement:

Through enhancing the capacity of drainage networks and lifting stations.
